A Law Abiding Land

Tonight we did a lesson on the 12th Article of Faith. I used the game "A Law Abiding Land" from Sugardoodle.net. The girls loved it. We had a little lesson on the 12th Article of Faith. The girls answered questions about obeying the laws and figured out different scenarios and what they would do if they were presented with obeying or disobeying the law. The girls definitely had a favorite. If they answered their questions or scenarios right they got to pick a candy card in which they could get M&M's. We will have to keep this game handy. They loved playing and it's a good review for the 12th Article of Faith.

Also I wanted to share some things that we do in our Activity Day Meetings. Most of the ideas I have gotten from other leaders posts on Sugardoodle.net. (That site is amazing) We have a helper board. I used foam board and covered it in fabric. Attached our duties that are made out of scrapbook paper. Then I used a clipart daisy and added each girls name inside, laminated them and used velcro to switch them out. After each meeting we decide who will do the different jobs for the next time we meet. The girls seem to enjoy having their own assignment. We also have a treat basket that I decorated with ribbon and the girl pass it around when it is their turn to bring the treat. I am still looking for a fun way to help them memorize their Articles of Faith.
